Food and Drinks

The cuisine of South Tyrol has got many delicacies to offer - from a delicious apple strudel to hearty dishes such as speck dumplings

In every valley and at every height, friendly hosts are ready to cater for your needs. Every area boasts its very own South Tyrolean specialities, prepared by the chefs de cuisine with both devotion and diligence - and increasingly more often with only ingredients from the region or from the own farm and kitchen garden. A perfect fusion of Tyrolean and Italian cuisine.

By the way: In order to better market South Tyrolean organic products, which are also often used in the preparation of local dishes, "Bio Alto" was founded in 2021: It is a distribution co-operative of which Bioland Südtirol Alto Adige, Bio*Beef, Mountain Milk South Tyrol, Vipiteno Diary, organic specialist shops and many others are members.
