Alpine roller coaster “Alpin-Bob-Meran 2000″
Italy’s longest Alpine roller coaster is found in South Tyrol in the skiing and hiking area Merano 2000.
Some 1,900 metres above sea level and 12 metres above the grounds - this must be great. And it truly is! Italy’s longest Alpine roller coaster is a must for young and old. Where to find it? High above the spa town of Merano, at the heart of the skiing and hiking area Merano 2000.
The Alpine coaster actually features a length of 1.1 km and keeps its doors open in winter and summer alike. As it starts right besides the summit station of the Merano 2000 cable car, it is easily accessible even without car. Starting in Merano, a bus takes you to the base station of the Merano 2000 cable car, and within few minutes you will stand in front of Italy’s longest Alpine coaster.
This adventuresome facility has been inaugurated in autumn 2006 and provides fun and action for kids and adults. By the way: there are single tickets, tickets of more rides or combined tickets for the funicular and the Alpine coaster. Take your marks!
