Family events

A large number of events taking place in South Tyrol are family-oriented and focus on topics that are particularly child-friendly.

When the knights prepare for the figths, children’s eyes start gleaming, every year again on the occasion of the South Tyrolean Knight Games in Val Venosta, attracting little and larger knights and damsels. However, there are also other events and topics that are of great interest for families, such as the strawberries in Val Martello or the thanksgiving festival in Bolzano with sheep, Haflinger horses and lots of treats for your palate.

A further event that enthuses adults and kids is the Christmas market, taking place in every larger place of South Tyrol. The most famous Christmas Markets are staged in Merano, Bolzano, Vipiteno, Bressanone and Brunico. A real winter dream: snowflakes falling from the sky, Christmas songs are in the air and the cold is answered with hot beverages such as mulled wine.
