> Since 2009 Bolzano has been offering a huge cinema, the “Cineplexx”. This cinema offers 7 cinema halls with 1,500 seats (each equipped with 2 wheelchair spaces). The programme foresees movies in two languages (German and Italian), digital cinema and SRD Sound sound system in all cinema halls. Furthermore Bolzano offers the “Filmclub” (Capitol) with 3 cinema halls and 400 seats. This cinema often offers movies in original or English language with subtitles.
> In the centre of Bressanone, there are two cinemas called “Astra” and “Stella”. The latter shows fllms mainly in Italian language.
> Brunico, the chief city of Val Pusteria, offers the Odeon cinema which in the last years has been renewed and enlarged. Except on Mondays, every day films are displayed. Moreover also Brunico offers a “Filmclub”, displaying also films in original language.
> Merano, however, offers the Odeon cinema as well as the Filmclub. There is something for every taste, from Hollywood blockbusters to film productions of less known film directors.
> If you would like to spend an evening in the cinema in Vipiteno, you are invited to come to the Filmclub or the city theatre.
