Glorenza, which is nicely positioned in the corner of three countries (Switzerland, Austria and Italy), was first mentioned as a “town” in 1304 and is nowadays known as the smallest town all over the Alps.
It is an extremely charming place to visit. Among its main sites of interst are the well-preserved town walls, the towers from the Rennaissance era as well as the porticoes and buildings dating back to the 13th to the 16th century.
During the 1970s the “village-type” town came to new lige thanks to a redevelopment plan and still today attracts numerous tourists.
