If you are spending your holidays with your family in South Tyrol and you would like to make a day trip beyond the borders, we have some recommendations for you. Of course destinations that can easily be reached within one day, as your kids won’t love to sit in the car the whole day.

If you wish to drive towards south, we recommend you a visit to the pleasure grounds Gardaland, perfect for kids of school age. The adventure park is located at the shores of Lake Garda in Castelnuovo del Garda. This is not only where you can find the most extreme roller-coaster of Italy, but also many more attractions such as Ice Age in 4D.

Only a stone’s throw away, there is the Canevaworld water world, including several different theme paths: Aqua Paradise Park, Medieval Times, Movie Studios Park and Rock Star Café. The Aqua Paradise Park is the largest water park at the shores of Lake Garda and offers attractions such as almost endless high-speed slides, water basins and much more. In the Movieland Studios, you can watch stunt shows and 5-D simulators as well as a Free Fall Tower.

If you decide to drive towards north, the Alpenzoo Innsbruck is a real must-see. The highest-located zoo provides an insight into the Alpine world of animals and makes you come in contact with about 150 animal species, from ibexes to lammergeier and waldrapps. An adventure, both for adults and kids.
