Val Gardena Skiing Area

The Val Gardena Seceda Skiing Area with its famous Saslong Slope, part of Dolomiti Superski, is a gathering place for the ski elite

The multi award-winning Val Gardena Seceda Skiing Area offers a great view from the mountain station which ranges from King Ortles in the west of South Tyrol to Mt. Grossglockner, the King of the Eastern Alps. The lift facilities start in Selva Gardena and take you on Mt. Plan de Gralba and to the Sella Pass, from Santa Cristina you can reach the slopes of Mt. Pana and Mt. Col Raiser, and at the edge of Ortisei you can find the lift facilities of the Rasciesa and Mt. Seceda. For the winter season 2023/24, the Cendevaves Lift has been replaced by a ski lift of the same kind.

The skiing area with its 121 km of slopes is located at the Sella Group and is part of the impressive Sella Ronda around the mountain massif. From Selva you have a direct access to this ski round trip which can be made in one day. Two downhill runs were added last winter: the black La Ria Slope and the former downhill run Pilat through the rocky woods from the Siusi Alp to Ortisei. Also the longest ski slope of South Tyrol is located here: the 10 km long La Longia from the Seceda, which overcomes an altitude difference of 1,273 m. Every spring, the Seceda turns into the starting point of the South Tyrol Gardenissima, the hardest and longest giant slalom race of the Dolomites.

The Val Gardena is connected to the Siusi Alp: Both skiing areas are usually named as Siusi Alp-Val Gardena Ski Region, accessible with one ski pass only and boasting 188 km of ski slopes and 82 lifts. Up there, on the largest high alp of Europe, most of the slopes are classified as easy - an ideal terrain for beginners and families. Professional childcare with flexible times, special courses for children and the Furdenan Snow Park complete the family offer. Snowboarders, however, can look forward to the Sassolungo Snow & Fun Park, the Monte Pana Snow Park and the Selva Fun Slope.
