General information: Take advantage of the free parking site at the Colle cable car station in Bolzano. Those who want to take it easier go for a 2-days tour. All kinds of accommodation are found e.g. in Obereggen. From Juli to August we suggest booking in advance.

A stunning but fairly long bike tour with numerous single trails. Superb views of the surrounding mountains such as Corno Nero, Corno Bianco, Latemar and Catinaccio.

Description of the route:

>> 0 KM: -1080m- summit station, asphalted street ’til Schneiderwiese Inn
>> 3.1 KM: -1325m- arrived to the Schneiderwiesen Inn, turn right up a forestry trail
>> 5.1 KM: -1520m- turn right, follow path no. 1
>> 6.6 KM: -1480m- Totes Moos biotope, continue straight on path no. 1
>> 8 KM: -1390m- turn left and continue on the single trail E5 to the Wölflhof farm or continue on the asphalted street leading to the Wölflhof farm
>> 10.6 KM: -1250m- arrived to the Wölflhof, cycle on the asphalted street until you reach Nova Ponente
>> 13.5 KM: -1360m- cycle across Nova Ponente
>> 14.5 KM: -1360m- turn right, across the crossing and continue towards the manufacturing area (zona artigianale)
>> 18.3 KM: -1650m- turn left (signpost on your right says Laabalm)
>> 25.6 KM: -1800m- Neuhütt, turn left
>> 37.8 KM: -1875m- turn left, cycle on the Guggenbichl forestry road towards the valley for some 200 m, turn right and follow path no. 2 until you reach Lavazé
>> 52.6 KM: -1830m- arrived to the crossing of Passo Lavazé turn left
>> 56.1 KM: -1566m- after the bridge, turn left and cycle up the mountain on a gravel road
>> 57.5 KM: -1745m- continue left of the ski lift and up the mountain
>> 58.1 KM: -1755m- follow path no. 10 on your left or chose the easier way up the mountain on your right until you reach the Epircher Laner refuge at 1,826 m; continue towards Obereggen
>> 59.7 KM: -1590m- continue to your right on single trail no. 11, wheeling necessary at some stages
>> 59.8 KM: -1530m- cycle along an asphalted road in Obereggen up the mountain on your right
>> 60.4 KM: -1560m- continue on path no. 9 on your right towards the Bewallerhof farm or chose the easier way on the asphalted road to the Bewallerhof farm
>> 62 KM: -1480m- turn right, after 100 m turn right again and up the mountain, follow path no. 9; above the Bewallerhof jut continue on path no.8
>> 67 KM: -1540m- continue on the asphalted road on your right for 100 m until you reach Lake Carezza; turn right and follow path no. 12 to the Karersee Hotel

>> 68.5 KM: -1625m- keep straight on, continue on path no. 10
>> 68.8 KM: -1635m- keep straight on
>> 70.4 KM: -1725m- turn left towards the main road, then left again down the mountain to the crossing
>> 70.6 KM: -1700m- turn right towards Passo Nigra
>> 78.1 KM: -1670m- turn left right before the Nigerhütte refuge and follow the forestry trail (gate) towards the Schillerhof farm or go for the more challenging single trail after the Nigerhütte refuge on path no. 1
>> 90.1 KM: -1365m- arrived to the Lärchenwald inn, turn right down the mountain
>> 90.4 KM: -1340m- those who are tired already turn right and continue down the mountain for 8 km to Collepietra; the rest of you turn left, continue down the mountain for 300 m and turn right towards Violet until the asphalted road ends

>> 92 KM: -1387m- right before the Malgaierhof farm, turn right towards Unteregger, follow path L marked with a red-white-red colour code
>> 93 KM: -1338m- arrived to the Unteregger inn, continue on your right up the mountain; after cycling on an asphalted road for 100 m, turn left towards the Kaserer Bild chapel
>> 95.3 KM: -1291m- arrived to the Kaserer Bild chapel, keep straight on on the main road towards Carnedo; get off the asphalted road after 600 m and continue up the mountain on the stony path on your right marked with an L
>> 97.4 KM: -1305m- before reaching the pasture (when looking straight forward you see the Lärcherhof farm), turn right and continue across the wood down the mountain; turn left after 700 m and continue on the forestry trail marked with a blue-white-blue colour code until you reach the Oberölgartnerhof farm
>> 100.6 KM: -1209m- arrived to the Oberölgartnerhof farm, cycle across the courtyard and follow the red-white colour code down the mountain – the path is fairly steep and demanding; much easier is the asphalted road to the Wiedenhof farm
>> 101.1 KM: -1123m- continue on the asphalted road on your right towards the Wiedenhof farm
>> 103 KM: -939m- arrived to the Wiedenhof farm, follow the path marked with a W towards Collepietra; 200 m after the Wiedenhof farm you have to wheel your bike for 200 m
>> 107.4 KM: -828m- pass by the Reschmarket on your left and continue on path no. 2
>> 109.6 KM: -695m- when coming to the right-hand bend, continue left on path no. 2
>> 116 KM: -292m- turn left, at the stop sign right and continue on the main road until you reach the traffic lights
>> 124.6 KM: -280m- turn left and then right until you reach the base station
