Ice Music Festival 2010

The Val Senales glacier enthusiasts its visitors with ice music performed in the ice dome.

Also this winter at the glacier of Val Senales there will be very special concerts. It is already the fourth edition of the Ice Music Festival, this year taking place from February 26 to March 7, 2010.

In the so-called IceDome, e specially constructed huge igloo built of ice and snow, there will be concerts performed on music instruments made of ice, too. The ice dome is located at an altitude of 3,200 m asl and is characterised by a great acoustic and is particularly impressive also from an architectonic view.

Filigree are also the music instruments, all made of ice. In this edition spectators can look forward to a particular ice instrument, which is an ice harp by Sidsel Walsta, who will also play this icy instrument.
