The cable cars to the Gardena Pass start right on the outskirts of Colfosco: it is, so to speak, the local skiing area of Colfosco.

Colfosco, Calfosch in Ladin and Kolfuschg in German, is located at 1,645 m a.s.l. at the foot of the Gardena Pass. Its alpine location on the way from Alta Badia to the Val Gardena valley immediately makes you think of mountain tours, via ferrata routes and mountain bike trips, of mighty rock faces and cosy huts - and you are right. The paths lead to Col Pradat, the viewpoint under the mighty Sassongher, to Lake Ciampac, and to the wide high plateaus of the Gardenaccia.

In the valley, the Colfosco High Rope Course awaits young and old adventurers. The adventure park at the entrance to the village consists of five different courses that stretch between huge larches and are accessible in summer. Colfosco is also home to historic buildings such as the listed Sorà and Zecca da Ruatsch Farms and the St. Vigil Parish Church. This late Gothic little church in front of the Sella Massif is a popular photo motif.

In winter, the cable car to the Gardena Pass starts in this small district of Corvara: The slopes there are also part of the famous Alta Badia Skiing Area, which here in Alta Badia occupies a large part of the mountain world around the Sella Massif. The 130 km of ski slopes are rounded off by 34 km of cross-country ski tracks and two sledge runs, which are also part of the ski area.
