In Castelrotto you can enjoy the sunny side of South Tyrol.

The village of Castelrotto is actually the main place of the Sciliar region and it boasts even a number of famous people, whoe were born or are still living here: the historian Leo Santifaller, the troubadour Oswald von Wolkenstein or the Kastelruther Spatzen, South Tyrol’s folk music band number 1!

The village is rich in sites of interest. Besides numerous castles and ruines, there are lovely painted houses all over the place. Worth seeing are also the traditional costumes, worn for instance during the Corpus Christi procession…
