Alta Badia

A valley that is surrounded by mountain peaks

Language - this is one of many special features of beautiful Alta Badia. Already in long passed days, out of the Rhaetian and an ancient Romance language the Ladin language developped. Even though today the Ladin language group represents a linguistic minority in South Tyrol, it has become one of the three languages spoken in the province of South Tyrol, in addition to Italian and German.

Numerous legends and myths characterise this special valley. Discover mystical Alta Badia and enter a world of its own!

Sport enthusiasts will find all they can wish for in Alta Badia. Activities range from hiking and climbing to mountain biking, cycling and much more. In winter, skier and snowboarders can look forward to the ski circuit of Sella Ronda, with lots of fun and lots of choice. Enjoy yourselves!
