Pedraces

Pedraces

Pedraces is village dating back to the Roman era.

> Altitude: 1,315 metres above sea level

In the middle of a unique natural scenery and on a hill of the Santa Croce Massif lies the village of Pedraces. In the evening a mystic red atmosphere enlightens the local mountains, an atmosphere the native people call the “enrosadira”…

Experts presume that the place had originally been an early Roman settlement. Several tools and arms found in the surroundings of the hamlets Ciastel and Sotciastel prove this theory to be true. Recently, Pedraces became part of the Alta Badia Skiing Area and new ski lifts connect the place with the renowned Sella Ronda Ski Circuit.

> We suggest: Taste a good glass of wine while watching the mystic red sun set in summer and don’t miss skiing around the Sella Mountain Group in winter!
