Obereggen

Surrounded by spruce and larch forests, there is the winter sport resort Obereggen, located at the foot of the Latemar.

In the sixties the inhabitants started building the first lift facilities, which introduced tourism in Obereggen, located at 1,550 m asl. The ski centre Latemar-Obereggen grew out of this first lift facility, today this popular ski resort offers 46 km of ski slopes and 18 state-of-the art lift facilities. Snowboard freaks can look forward to a half-pipe and a fun park. To those who love fairy-tale snow-covered landscapes we recommend the Ganischgeralm or Zischgalm pastures.

The little mountain village at the foot of the Latermar, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is not only admirable in winter, but also in the warmer months of the year. Its natural landscape longs for being experienced at close quarters. As the lift facilities are also open in summer, you are spoilt for choice.
