Welcome to a climatic health resort

Start off in Lana, continue for 3 km towards Passo Palade and you will reach a pretty village surrounded by orchards and woods: Foiana. Thanks to its geographical position the holiday resort is the ideal spot for hikes and mountain bike tours, along the Rateiserweg path towards Ultimo for instance or past the Höllental Valley to the Platzerer Jöchl.

In the centre of Foiana - called Völlan in German - lies a small farming museum, which keeps its doors open from March until October. The exhibited tools, furnishings and items of the every-day life introduce the visitors to long passed times. Definitely worth visiting are also the Mayenburg Castle (12th century) as well as the Roman bridges you will see when travelling towards Tesimo.
