Gargazzone

Gargazzone is an enchanting and child-oriented municipality.

> Altitude: 267 metres above sea level

The emblem of this rather small municipality features the so-called Kröllturm, a watchtower dating back to the year 1240. Moreover, it depicts three trees which refer to the flourishing local fruit-growing industry. All over Gargazzone - known as Gargazon in German - you will find evidences of a rich culture, from the St John Church featuring precious relics of St Octonius and a 14th century fresco to the marble monument at the Bergerhof farm reminding of the Tyrolean freedom fights.

And by the way: Gargazzone is child-friendly! Due to a big playground covering 5,000 m˛ as well as several smaller playgrounds, in 2000 the village was awarded a “child-friendly municipality”. The sport area located in the periphery of Gargazzone provides moreover numerous sport opportunities featuring e.g. tennis courts, a skateboard ground and a football pitch.

> We suggest: a hike to the mighty local waterfall to all lovers of nature and a hilarious night out at the Aprés-Club to the young!
