Tradition is of utmost importance in Marlengo. From the traditional music band with its 150 years old tradition to the folk dance group and the richly decorated festival wagons taking part in the Merano Grape Festival - culture and tradition come alive in Marlengo…
Worth visiting is for instance the Lebenberg Castle in the neighbouring village of Cermes, built in the year 1240 by the Nobles of Marlengo. Lovers of culture moreover shouldn’t miss the two churches of Marlengo. Every Friday you can listen to the bell “Annamaria” (1847) in the old parish church and it was to the honour of the new parish church that Franz Liszt composed the work “Ihr Glocken von Marling”.
> We suggest: the “Goaslschnöllen” - local farmers cracking their whips - on the Saturday preceding Whit Sunday as well as the Marlengo high altitude path taking you from one farm to the next!
