Scena

Scena is located on the sunny hill of Merano and surrounded by lovely mountains.

Surrounded by the summits of the Ivigna and Hirzer mountains, Scena locates on the sunny south-western slopes above Merano. The village includes the hamlets Verdines, San Giorgio, Monte di Scena, Tall di Sopra and Tall di Sotto.

In 1350, the Schenna Castle was built, right there where lateron the village of Scena would develop. From the 14th to the 19th century, Schenna Castle served as a court for local disputes. Today the castle is open to the public providing the right blend of past and present, culture and entertainment!
