The hamlet of Verano with its quarters Eschio, Hinterkofl, Unterdorf and Leadner Alm conveniently nestles on the Monzoccolo Mountain between Bolzano and Merano. It boasts a fairly nice climate especially in summer and is ideal for long hikes throughout the great outdoors.

From the very first moment you can feel the peace and untouched nature characterising this area. Past and present, tradition and innovation combine and create a special atmosphere here on the Monzoccolo Mountain. The thatched roofs of some barns for instance still remind of the Bavarian origins and on the same time on the Vöraner Alm hut you can watch the biggest photo-voltaic facility all over South Tyrol!

> We suggest: Take advantage of the cable car connecting Postal with Verano - called Vöran in German - and visit the little St Anna Church!
