Aldein Aldino

Aldino

The municipality of Aldino extends on the low mountain range of the so-called Regglberg.

The municipality of Aldino extends on the high plateau of the Regglberg mountain at an altitude of 1,200 to 1,500 m asl and has a total of some 1,650 inhabitants. Comprising the localities Aldino, Redagno and Olmi, it nestles in the heart of forests and meadows. Especially worth visiting are the Malga di Aldino alpine pasture as well as the Rio delle Foglie geoparc, the so-called “Grand Canyon of South Tyrol“.

A trail network of 150 km extends at the foot of the Corno Bianco and Corno Nero mountains. Those, however, who prefer putting greens can look forward to the 18-hole golf-course Monte San Pietro that is distant only 3 km. In winter you have the possibility to ski in the ski resort Passo Oclini, ideal not only for families.

There are also several attractions that are interesting from a historical and artistic viewpoint. The village museum for example exhibits rural and sacral arts dating back to the Rokoko and Baroque era. The Geological Museum, however, is located at the Rio delle Foglie Gorge, while the mills reveal secrets of bygone eras.
