Thanks to its geographical position on the major trade roads between the south and the north, the village of Egna has always been of economic and cultural importance. Still today, a number of Venetian houses bear witness to these times.
Nowadays, Egna is the cultural centre of the Bassa Atesina region. Untouched nature can be found in the near-by Monte Corno Nature Park and those interested in castles might head to the Castelfeder Castle, with its Roman walls and the Mediterranean flora and fauna.
> We suggest: Go for a shopping tour beneath the village’s Medieval arcades and don’t miss the “Laubenfest” festival!
