This pretty summer resort is characterised by the great lake Braies

When driving along Val Pusteria towards Villabassa, right before it on your right locates the Valle di Braies valley. It includes the villages Braies di Fuori, Braies di Dentro, San Vito and Ferrara - the largest one - and lies right in the Fanes-Sennes-Braies Nature Park. Furthermore, here you will find artisans, who know how to make embroidery with quill pens!

Have you ever heard about Lake Braies at the end of the valley? You can walk along its shores and watch its fascinating deep-blue waters. Another pretty hiking destination is the so-called “Plätzwiese” at a height of 2000 m, especially popular in summer. And in winter the very sporty ones can look forward to a high-altitude cross-country run…
