Brunico

The municipality of Brunico is located in the heart of the Val Pusteria, at the foot of the local mountain Plan de Corones.

Not only from a geographic point of view, Brunico is considered the centre of the Val Pusteria. This town is also interesting from a cultural viewpoint and the first-choice meeting place in the valley. San Giorgio, Stegona, S. Caterina, Lunes, Ameta, Teodone and Riscone, together with the town itself, form the municipality that stretches from 812 m to the summit of the Plan de Corones at 2,277 m. In winter the variety of slopes is huge, while in summer it offers several hiking trails, a free-ride trail for cyclists and a great view.
