The name Terento actually derives from the Latin “torrentum”, meaning beck or torrent. First written documents about the village date back to the 10th century. Still today, the surrounding area is characterised by agriculture.
Including the quarters Marga, Talson, Montesole, Monteneve, Lasta, Pino and Colli in Pusteria, the village of Terento locates directly along the Val Pusteria “strada del sole”. Lots of fun and entertainment are found at the sports and recreation centre. Moreover, you can look forward to lovely Icelandic horses and a Kneipp basin in the local adventure park…
> We suggest: the so-called “Mühlenlehrpfad”, an educational path taking you to the local earth pyramids, and a refreshing bath in the pond of Issengo on hot summer days!
