With its hamlets Burgusio, Laudes, Mazia, Planol, Piavenna, Clusio, Slingia, Tarces and Alsago, the municipality of Malles is the second largest all over South Tyrol. The municipality is surrounded by the Ötztal Alps in the east, the Ortles Massif in the south and the Sesvenna Group in the west.
Skiers can look forward to the skiing area Watles slightly above Malles. But also hikers will love this place, as it boasts numerous trails and tracks and not to forget the old irrigations channles called “Waalwege”. Worth trying are also the tandem flights at the Watles mountain.
> We suggest: Have a look at the Carolingian frescos of the St Benedict Church and visit the Marienberg Monastery, the highest Benedictine abbey of Europe!
