Luson

Luson takes you uphill and downhill

> Altitude: 972 metres above sea level

In a tributary valley near to the town of Bressanone, there you will find the hiking paradise of Luson. Right at the beginning of the village is the Mairhof, a legendary manor built by the prince bishops of Bressanone. At the end of the valley towers the mighty Sass de Putia mountain, where the Lasanken river originates.

Winter turns Luson into a lively place: in 2001 for instance Luson hosted the Luge World Cup! Furthermore, the village features a ski lift, a cross-country run and an ice rink. A further ski lift and cross-country run are found at the Alpe di Luson pasture at an altitude of 1600 m. And what about a relaxing snowshoeing tour?

> We suggest: Refresh body and mind while trying out stork walking and go for a tasty break with speck (see image) and wine at the lovely mountain huts!
