Maranza

Sunny views in the village located above Rio di Pusteria

> Altitude: 1,414 metres above sea level

At the heart of fields and orchards and on a sunny terrace lies the village of Maranza. High above towers the Gitschberg mountain, featuring a stunning view of the Dolomites, the Zillertal, Stubai and Ötztal Alps and the valleys of Val Pusteria and Valle Isarco.

Winter turns the hiking paradise Gitschberg-Jochtal into a fabulous ski area, rich with snow-covered mountains and slopes. A cable car takes you directly from the village up to 2000 m, where you will find numerous ski runs for beginners and professionals alike. In the evening you might enjoy a good night out at the local aprčs-ski bars or the tennis hall, with its hilarious foam parties and concerts!

> We suggest: Hike to the Seefeld lakes and watch the farmers competing on their horses on Whitsunday!
