Prati, the main village of Val di Vizze, is located at its entrance at 948 m asl.

The landscape of the 23 km long Val di Vizze really invites you to stay and enjoy, as the impressive setting is characterised by a majestic world of mountains. Val di Vizze is a high valley in the surroundings of Vipiteno and at its entrance, there is Prati, the main village.

Prati belongs to the municipality of Val di Vizze. In 1931, the villages Val di Vizze and Prati were consolidated and for this reason Prati is part of the most northern village of South Tyrol.

Both in summer and winter, Val di Vizze is popular with those who love sports. This is where alpinists come across a real challenge, which is the Gran Pilastro (3,510 m), the highest mountain of the Zillertal Alps. However, also for those who do not aim that high, there is a range of possibilities. You can for example make a hike to Pietra Castle or to the Gschleiboden (1.300 m). Tough mountainbikers can tackle Passo di Vizze (2,248 m), which has to be overcome also in transalp tours.
