Campo Tures is located in the heart of the Valle Aurina, in the Vedrette di Ries nature park and offers a mighty castle.

Campo Tures is a market town in the heart of the Valle Aurina and has got almost 5,000 inhabitants, comprising the villages Riva di Tures, Caminata, Molini di Tures, Acereto and the main place Campo Tures. It is over-towered by the mighty Tures Castle, one of the most impressive castle complexes of South Tyrol, in which one of the most noble aristocrat families of Tyrol used to reside.

The municipality is located in the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina nature park and is surrounded by 80 three-thousanders of the Valle Aurina. A visit to Castel Tirolo, a walk to the Riva waterfalls, a glimpse into the visitor’s centre of the Vedrette di Ries-Aurina nature park or relaxation in the well-being oasis Cascade with its sauna and spa areas, Campo Tures has got much to offer for your leisure.

The most famous citizen of the municipality is the extreme alpinist Hans Kammerlander. As a matter of fact, this area is ideal for mountaineering. In summer you absolutely don’t have to miss an open air event that takes place on Tuesday evenings, making you experience local dishes, music and entertainment.
