Lutago is located at the beginning of the Valle Aurina and is surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of the Zillertal Alps. About 14 three-thousanders, such as the Cima di Campo and Sasso Nero, surround the village of Lutago. Its local mountain, the 3,368 m high Sasso Nero, is a popular destination for experienced alpinists from all over the world.
However, you absolutely don’t have to aim that high, as there is also much to do down in the valley. A particularly popular activity is horse trekking, which can be done the whole year round in a horse riding stable of Lutago.
Also in winter you will be spolit for choice, the skiing areas Speikboden and Klausberg can be reached within a short time. You seek the rush of adrenaline? So try rafting on the Aurino river in summertime. However, also a visit to the Christmas crib museum Maranatha is highly recommendable.
