San Giovanni in Valle Aurina is a high-altitude climatic health resort.

The largest place all over Valle Aurina is called after St John, whom also the local parish church is dedicated to. The amazing building with its mighty cupola and the high altar by Franz Joseph Schöpf can be seen from far away.

San Giovanni boasts numerous treasures. Among them is the Mineralogical Museum, featuring a total of 750 exhibits found in the Zillertal Alps and the Hohe Tauern mountains. The museum also boasts its own shop, where you can buy curative stones and minerals coming from all over the world…
