Villa Ottone

Villa Ottone is a village which is steeped in history.

Already in the 11th century the Lords of Villa Ottone built a mighty castle in this place and out of it a friendly village was made. Still today, agriculture characterises Villa Ottone. High above the place, at an altitude of 1560 metres, towers the mountain hamlet Lana di Gais.

Today Villa Ottone is a beloved holiday resort, featuring a number of sports activities. In winter you can go skiing in the near-by ski areas or enjoy yourself at the natural ice rink and in summer you might embark on one of those oh-so adventurous rafting tours!

> We suggest: Hike along the so-called “Weiterweg” up to an altitude of 1,700 m and visit the Schlössl ruin!
