Saltusio

Saltusio is the southernmost village of the Val Passiria and is locaed close to the city of Merano.

Saltusio is located at 490 m asl, between Merano and the Val Passiria. In other words, Saltusio is the southernmost village of the valley and located only 9 km from the city of Merano.

In the surroundings of the village, there are several of the so-called Schildhof farms, dating back to the 13th century. One of the most striking is the Steinhaus farm, a castle-like building.

If you love hiking, we recommend you the area of Monte Cervina. Moreover there is the Val Passiria-Merano golf course in the immediate surroundings. If you are not yet a professional golf player, take a lesson to refine your technique. And if you seek more action, try wild water rafting or waterfall climbing.
