Gitschberg skiing area
A stunning 360° view will enchant you in this skiing area, belonging to Dolomiti Superski.
This small but mighty skiing area at Maranza is accessible via car or funicular from Rio di Pusteria. This skiing area is perfect for families, as it is not too large and features wide slopes. The “Gitsch”, like this skiing area is called by the inhabitants, also includes a very easy slope with conveyor belt for children, located directly in the village of Maranza.
At the top of the mountain, however, you can enjoy a panoramic view of 360° and admire the Dolomites, the Zillertal, Stubai and Ötztal Alps. In the surroundings you can also find several enjoyable cross-country ski tracks.
By the way: starting from the winter season 2011/12 the two skiing areas Gitschberg and Jochtal will be connected, which results in 44 km of ski slopes.

Ski touring: ski touring is not allowed on the slopes
