Jochtal Skigebiet, Winter 2011

Valles- Jochtal skiing area

The Jochtal skiing area is located in Valles and is connected to the Gitschberg skiing area by a cable-car with glass-bottom.

The skiing area Jochtal is situated at Valles, which is accessible from Rio di Pusteria at the entrance of the Val Pusteria. Directly in the centre of the village, there are two easy ski slopes, where children can take their first steps on skis. Moreover the little ones can enjoy themselves in the “Bambino Club”, where they are taught how to ski in a playful manner. You will be amazed when you see them skiing after a few hours!

In the meantime adults can carve down the two valley runs or enjoy Après Ski in the “Mühle” or “Nockalm”. One of the highlights in the ski-region takes place every Tuesday night: the dance of the vampires is a night in which the valley slope is illuminated, enabling ski mountaineers to walk up the slope, and there is a party at 2,000 m asl!

Since the winter season 2011/12 the Jochtal skiing area has been connected with the Gitschberg skiing area by a cable-car with glass bottom. A real thrill!
