Massimiliano I brought innovative opportunities to Bolzano, giving the city a new impetus. The itinerary leads to the places that have changed with him: Piazza Walther with the late Gothic bell tower of the Cathedral that was finished just in the year of his death and the Museum of Natural Sciences, the headquarter of his administration. Here, until June, it will be possible to access a temporary exhibition on the daily culture of that time. It will also be possible to admire a curious crypto-portrait of the emperor dressed as Solomon painted by Conrad Waiders in the sail of the ninth arch of the Dominican Cloister and visit the Civic Museum, the place of choice for the urban development of the city at that time.
Fee: € 7 for adults (+ bus ticket if necessary)
Bilingual: Italian/German
