South Tyrol Mining Museums - Monteneve

Monteneve, which unifies the museum structures between Ridanna and the Val Passiria, is the highest located mine of Europe.

The South Tyrol Mining Museum belongs to the nine Provincial Museums of South Tyrol (Südtiroler Landesmuseen), an autonomous entity, and consists of four different facilities: the Mining World Ridanna Monteneve and the Adventure Mine Monteneve as well as the Mining Museum in a Grain Store in Cadipietra and the Show Mine of Predoi with the Climatic Gallery “I breathe…”.

While the first two are located between the Alta Valle Isarco and Merano and surroundings, the latter two can be visited in the Valle Aurina, a picturesque tributary valley of the Val Pusteria.
