Sesto Dolomites skiing region

The skiing region in Alta Pusteria comprises seven skiing areas and belongs to the Dolomiti Superski ski carousel.

The Sesto Dolomites skiing region in Alta Pusteria connects 7 skiing areas in the heart of the Dolomites, an area named by UNESCO as a World Heritage site. The skiing region - featuring 93 km of slopes and 32 lift facilities - includes the skiing areas Monte Elmo-Orto del Toro-Croda Rossa (64.5 km of ski slopes), Monte Baranci (8 km), Passo Monte Croce (1.5 km), Dobbiaco Rienza (4 km), Braies di Fuori (3.5 km), Waldheim Sesto (1.5 km) and Val Comelico (10 km) at Passo Monte Croce. Since 2014, the new Three Peaks cable car provides the connection between the areas of Monte Elmo and Croda Rossa. The Dolomiti Superski pass is valid here, comprising 12 skiing areas in the Dolomites (450 lift facilities, 1,200 km of ski slopes).

The skiing region offers family-friendly and large slopes. Furthermore three toboggan runs, the Rudolph the red nosed reindeer’s ski training track on the Croda Rossa and the kids ski cross run at Monte Baranci are waiting for you. Snowboarders can look forward to several snow and fun parks in the region, e.g. the Three Peaks Snow Park at Monte Elmo and the Shaka Snow Park in the skiing area Dobbiaco Rienza. And with a gradient of 71% the Holzriese run is the steepest slope of South Tyrol! Every 30 minutes, however, the Ski Val Pusteria express train takes skiers from the Sesto Dolomites skiing region to the Plan de Corones.
