The tour to the Nature Hotel Runa (formerly Roner Hut) leads across the snow-covered plateau of the Rodengo Alp

The starting point is the Zumis car park near the Platzer Hut at an altitude of 1,719 metres, reached via Rodengo or Luson village. The route on this January outing is straightforward: We simply follow the wide forest road (trail no. 2) all the way to Nature Hotel Runa.
Alternatively, the Creation Path (no. 4) also leads to the destination - it runs parallel to the left through the forest and features several art installations illustrating the biblical story of creation. After around 50 minutes, we reach the Nature Hotel Runa, newly reopened a few years ago.
Situated at an altitude of 1,832 metres, it serves alpine breakfasts with eggs and freshly baked bread alongside hearty alpine cuisine such as dumplings, game dishes, and strudel. The Rodengo Alp itself is an expansive plateau that merges directly into the Luson Alp.
There is plenty for children to discover here, including - depending on winter conditions - a small igloo, toboggan runs and groomed cross-country ski trails. We head back via the Creation Path no. 4. This hike is ideal for families and anyone wishing to spend a peaceful winter day in nature.
