Vipiteno Christmas Market

The Vipiteno Christmas Market is a popular meeting point in the Advent period in the Upper Valle Isarco. It takes place at the main square in the centre from the end of November to the 6th of January, in the shades of the famous Tower of the Twelve, which really seems to supervise happenings on the lovely market. The characteristic bays at the façades in the Old Town and the New Town, provided with Christmas decoration, and the sound of the Christmas bells convey a very special flair. The cosy illumination at night-time makes this market even more romantic.

The booths offer a wide selection of gift ideas, handicraft, winter articles, Christmas decoration and sweet Christmas bakery. During the "Bell Christmas of Vipiteno Sterzing", also other events and activities are on the programme, such as the traditional "Krampus Day" and nighttime tobogganing on the Monte Cavallo, the local mountain and famous skiing area of Vipiteno.

And finally you have to taste a cup of hot apple juice or mulled wine with the Zelten, the traditional fruit bread. A highlight is the new carillon with 25 bells on the Tower of the Twelve, which can be heard daily at 5 pm. The "Bell Christmas of Vipiteno Sterzing" invites you!
