Bagni di Lavina Bianca in Tires is the beautiful spot where one of the two information points of the Catinaccio-Sciliar Nature Park is located. Until recently, the Steger Saw (Steger Säge) itself housed the visitor centre before it moved to the new building in Siusi allo Sciliar. This sawmill at the entrance to the Ciamin Valley was restored and also shows the living quarters of the saw master.
Inside, you can expect a journey through the craft traditions and culture of the mountain regions of South Tyrol, through the interesting history of geology and, of course, through the flora and fauna of the Catinaccio-Sciliar Nature Park. In the summer months you can visit it, as well as the second visitor centre at the Fiè Pond, and let yourself be enchanted.
