Tesido

The lovely village of Tesido is located on a gentle rise off the main traffic roads.

> Altitude: 1,212 m asl

Tesido is the first village at the entrance of Val Casies and it is located on a gentle rise. The village offers all the conditions for great holidays in the heart of nature as well as recreational days. A large number of hiking paths take you across the great natural landscape and provide unique impressions of the Dolomites.
The actual origin of the village is unknown. It is however presumed that the first settlement dates back to the times of the Illyrians, who also gave the name “Tesitin” to the village. Tesido has been mentioned for the first time in a document in 770.

Also in winter you won’t be bored in Tesido, as the popular skiing area Plan de Corones provides great outdoor experiences on skis or on your board. Otherwise you can enjoy a hike across the fairytale-like winter landscape on the alpine pasture of Tesido, or enjoy tobogganing on the great run!.
