The Oswald von Wolkenstein Path winds through the forest near Siusi allo Sciliar, close to the mystical ruins of Castelvecchio and Salego. The theme trail, a 1.5-hour circular hike, is dedicated to the famous minstrel and tells of the time of knights and damsels. In this area, also the Oswald von Wolkenstein Ride takes place every year. 15 stations await you along the path. The hike starts at the car park of the valley station of the Alpe di Siusi Cable Car, the path itself at the neighbouring access road to the Hotel Salegg, and leads for several km through the Castelvecchio Forest.
Below the Castelvecchio castle rock, where plaques tell about the life of Oswald von Wolkenstein, the path continues towards Bagni di Ratzes until a forest road, where the Oswald von Wolkenstein Path ends. Now there are two options: either hike right in 10 minutes towards the Hotel Salegg, where a playground awaits the children, or hike left in half an hour back to the car park of the valley station of the Alpe di Siusi Cable Car (signpost "Siusi-Seis").
