Penegal
A mountain located above Appiano and Caldaro.
Penegal (1,737 m) is one of the highest peaks of the Mendola chine and of the Alps in the Val di Non in general. Once reached Passo Mendola you can either scale Penegal or travel numerous sharp turns by car. The panoramic view at the highest point is great and therefor also very popular.
The Gruppo di Brenta in the south west, the Ortles-Cevedale group in the west and the Dolomites in the east will impress you! The view over the wide Valle dell’Adige conveys the feeling of being above all… In order to enjoy the view, there is also an exciting observation tower :-)
Those who look at Penegal from its foot will immediately recognise the mountain due to the two transmitting masts, towering next to the viewpoint.
