Merano 2000

Merano 2000 is the skiing area of the spa town in the Ortler Skiarena

Above Merano, there is a sunny high plateau on which the skiing area Merano 2000 is situated. This skiing area comprises more than 40 km of ski slopes and offers different services including a free shuttle. There are several ski lifts as well as a lift for pedestrians. Since 2006 Merano 2000 features an alpine coaster, which keeps its doors open in winter and summer alike. As Merano 2000 is located in close proximity to the spa town of Merano, it is easy to combine skiing and swimming in the thermal baths. Also the village of Avelengo, the home of the “blond horses”, is situated not far from the skiing area… and as you might imagine, horse riding in winter landscape is an experience!

Toboggan runs: 1 run (23,8 km)
Cross-country ski track: 2 slopes, 12 km
Night operation: in January illuminated toboggan run and ski slopes from 7.30 to 10.30 pm
