Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park

This nature park covers an area of 25,397 hectares

The Fanes-Senes-Braies Nature Park stretches from Valle di Braies to Dobbiaco and throughout Alta Badia.

A large part of the woods is made up of spruces and serves thus as the habitat for such animals as mountain cocks, pine martens or foxes. At altitudes higher than 2,000 m, you will find mountain hares and snow grouse and plants such as edelweiss, horminum pyrenaicum and yarrow. And the rocky area surrounding the waters of Lago di Braies are ideal for watching ibexes and chamois.
