Nova Levante is located at the end of the Val d’Ega and can be reached via the famous Dolomite Road.

The municipality of Nova Levante has got some 1,800 inhabitants and extends in altitudes ranging from 850 to 2,842 m asl. It includes the mountain village of Nova Levante and the area round Lake Carezza with its mountain pastures and high forests extending to the imposing mountain ranges of the Catinaccio and Latemar.
If you decide to spend your winter holidays in Nova Levante, you can choose from two skiing areas. On the one hand the Ski Area Carezza-Karersee, on the other hand the Ski Centre Latemar-Obereggen, beside there are also cross-country ski runs and toboggan runs. To cut a long story short, Nova Levante is an ideal place for winter sports enthusiasts.
In summer the choice regarding activities is wide: playing golf, hiking, mountain biking, horse riding, climbing and hang-gliding, with a great view to the Catinaccio.
Nova Levante is by the way located at the slopes of the highest forested hill of Europe, which is called “Talt” or “Taltbühel”. This 1,756 m high hill can be reached on foot or by mountain bike directly from the village of Nova Levante.
