Odle Group

Between the Val di Funes and the Val Gardena valleys, in the heart of the eponymous nature park, there is the Odle Group

This famous mountain massif of the Dolomites is located in the heart of the Puez-Odle Nature Park. The main peak is Mt. Sass Rigais, which is 3,025 m high - like the neighbouring Furchetta. The Sass Rigais can be scaled both from the Val Gardena and the Val di Funes, via a fixed-rope route starting in Santa Maddalena (Val di Funes valley) or Santa Cristina (Val Gardena valley).

Other important peaks of the impressive Odle Group are Mt. Sass da l'Ega (2,924 m a.s.l.), Mt. Sas de Mesdì (2,762 m a.s.l.), the Funes Pinnacle (2,834 m a.s.l.) and Mt. Furchetta (3,025 m a.s.l.), Mt. Odla di Valdussa (2,936 m a.s.l.) and Mt. Odla di Funes (2,800 m a.s.l.) as well as the Big Fermada (2,873 m a.s.l.) and the Small Fermeda (2,814 m a.s.l.). The Odle Group, called Geislergruppe in German, is also perfect for hikes and alpine tours. In the southeast of this mountain range there is the Puez Group - these two mountain groups are eponymous for the Puez-Odle Nature Park.
