In the Sciliar-Alpe di Siusi region, which by the way is Europe’s biggest Alpine pasture, an area of 6,800 hectares has been declared a nature park. Look forward to a unique flora and fauna at the heart of an untouched natural scenery at altitudes from 1,300 - 3,000 m.
The nature park boasts a rich number of flowers and plants such as crocuses and Alpine roses (see image), the vitaliana primuliflora and mountain thrift. And it is home to such animals as Alpine choughs, ermines, chamois and golden eagles.
Enjoy a day of fresh mountain air in South Tyrol’s oldest nature park, which got its name from the mighty Sciliar Massif towering high above it…
> Our tip: On a hot sunny day, take the chance and relax and refresh at the “Völser Weiher”, an oh-so lovely mountain pond near to Fiè allo Sciliar!
