With the mighty Gruppo di Tessa Mountains towering high above, Parcines lies only few kilometres from Merano. The highest altitude of the municipality boasts the Cima Roteck Summit with 3,300 metres.

A world-wide unique experience is waiting for you: the Peter Mitterhofer Museum of Typing Machines, housed in the so-called “Teisenhaus”! Named after Peter Mitterhofer from Parcines, the inventor of the typing machine in 1864, the museum hosts a show room with more than 1,200 typing machines. Among the valuable items is the special edition machine “Princess”, a completely gilded typing machine dating back to the year 1949…
